to come up with a concise definition that works for all cases.

> After class, one student offered this definition:
"A natural hazard is an ephemeral, intractable event created by natural forces
concentrated in a specific geopgraphic region which is deleterious to the 
earth and its inhabitants."

Does anyone else care to comment on this definition?
